Meet Lucina!

This is one sweet little lady! She is a total love bug now that she knows what it is. Lucina the lady bug was found as a stray in North St. Louis City, wandering around looking for the litter of puppies she recently had. The kids that found her said they had seen puppies in Sherman Park a week before, but people took them all. So, our little girl was just looking and looking…she was so sad, but always sweet. She gave kisses and offered her tummy as soon as she met everyone. All the kids loved her. Since coming to a foster home with three other dogs, Lucina’s personality has only gotten more endearing. She has formed an alliance with the female and makes sure she’s “safe” when everyone is playing. She likes to “mom” the other dogs as best she can, which can be a challenge because she’s the smallest. Toys and playtime are new to her as well, and she is getting the hang of chewing on sticks and Nylabones…finally! We have her water bottle trained and are working on basics. She had zero training when she was found. Her separation anxiety is a little high right now, but it gets better every day…
She’s just a really great, laid back girl looking to give millions of kisses and lots of love to whoever is lucky enough to get her.
